Instructor Development Course

The PADI Instructor rating sets you apart from the crowd. PADI Instructors may conduct the entire range of PADI programs - from Discover Scuba Diving through Divemaster. PADI Instructors do things others can only daydream about. If you want to live the dream, you're in the right place with Blue Island Divers.

The course consists of the Assistant Instructor course and the Open Water Instructor Course usually these two courses are combined into one course the IDC. The course is challenging and prepares you to attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). The IE is conducted by a PADI examiner and there are many of these events scheduled around the world. We schedule IDC's to coincide with IE's that are held on St Thomas, but you do not have to take the IE here you can choose another location at your own convenience. It is recommended however to take the IE as soon as possible after the IDC so that your newly learned skills are fresh in your mind.

As Blue Island Divers is a center for career development we can assist you with the complete process of becoming a PADI professional. From the IDC course all the way through gaining experience in the field and job placement in the Caribbean. So if you have ever dreamed of turning your sport into a career contact us and let us help you live the dream.
